Paul grew up singing in the men and boys’ choir at St. Mary’s, Merton Park in London, England, then at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Kerrisdale, Vancouver, and at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Toronto before coming to Knox in 2008. Paul believes that music helps to build strong faith communities and allows us to “worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”
Outside the church, Paul has appeared as a concert and opera soloist across North America, Europe, Japan and on various recording labels. He has sung with the National Youth Choir (1990), World Youth Choir (1991), Tafelmusik, American Bach Soloists, Phoenix Chamber Choir, and musica intima. Locally and currently he is a member of VoiceScapes and Luminous Voices. Paul has been the Artistic Director of the Calgary Boys’ Choir since 2004 and is a voice instructor at Mount Royal Conservatory of Music. Paul is also a proud father, avid fly fisherman, environmentalist, and poet.
